Description:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of innovative embedded systems and applications. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, contributing to software architecture, embedded development, hardware integration, and the delivery of reliable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software for embedded and real-time systems.
Contribute to software architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across product development projects.
Develop robust applications using C/C++, Qt, and QML.
Integrate software with embedded hardware platforms and peripheral devices.
Implement and maintain communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and other industry-standard interfaces.
Optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Conduct code reviews and champion software engineering best practices.
Support system testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis activities.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the full product development lifecycle.

Requirements
Proven experience developing embedded software for microcontroller-based and real-time systems using C/C++
Strong expertise with the Qt Framework and QML for application and user interface development
Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices, with the ability to contribute to technical decision-making and project leadership
Experience integrating software with embedded hardware, electronic systems, and peripheral devices
Knowledge of embedded communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Experience optimising software performance, reliability, and maintainability
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams and mentor less experienced developers
Experience with Embedded Linux and/or Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) is advantageous
Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and software quality processes is beneficial
Understanding of electronics, system-level design, and hardware-software interaction is desirable
Experience working within regulated, high-reliability, or safety-focused environments is a plus
