We are seeking an experienced Materials & Processes Engineer to play a key role in the qualification, implementation, and certification of metallic materials and assembly processes used in cutting-edge aerospace programs. Responsibilities

  • Lead the qualification and introduction of new metallic materials and assembly processes for aerospace applications.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute material and process qualification test programs.

  • Evaluate and approve metallic materials, joining technologies, and assembly processes.

  • Ensure materials and manufacturing processes comply with aerospace quality and airworthiness requirements.

  • Support design, manufacturing, certification, and supplier teams with materials and process expertise.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, qualification reports, and compliance records.

  • Investigate material-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across materials and manufacturing processes.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience within the aerospace industry, focusing on metallic materials and assembly processes.

  • Strong expertise in metallic materials, surface treatments, joining technologies, and assembly methods.

  • Experience planning and executing qualification and validation test programs.

  • Sound knowledge of aerospace certification and regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with EASA, FAA, and FOCA regulations.

  • Understanding of environmental and regulatory standards including REACH and RoHS.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Fluent German and English language skills are essential.
