Description:
We are seeking a Aerospace Materials & Manufacturing Engineer to support the qualification, development, and implementation of metallic materials, manufacturing technologies, and assembly processes. This role offers the opportunity to work across the product lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure materials and processes meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead qualification and validation activities for metallic materials and assembly processes

  • Plan and execute material and process testing programs

  • Develop, maintain, and update engineering specifications, process standards, and technical reports

  • Manage materials and process-related projects from evaluation through implementation

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer support teams to integrate materials and process requirements into products

  • Provide technical support for material selection, manufacturing challenges, and failure investigations

  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry, regulatory, and environmental requirements

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • MSc degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with metallic materials and assembly processes

  • Knowledge of material qualification, testing, and process validation

  • Experience developing engineering specifications and technical documentation

  • Familiarity with regulatory and environmental compliance requirements

  • English proficiency at B2 level; German at B2 level is preferred

  • Experience supporting cross-functional engineering and manufacturing activities

  • Knowledge of material failure analysis and process improvement methods
