Description:

Lead the development of advanced composite structures for aerospace applications, overseeing design, structural analysis, certification, and product development activities. This role provides technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-performance composite solutions are delivered in compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements while supporting innovation, manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of composite structures from requirements definition through certification and in-service support.

• Oversee the design, structural analysis, and evaluation of composite components, ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with design, manufacturing, materials, testing, certification, and program teams to deliver composite structure solutions.

• Provide technical leadership for new development, modification, and continuous improvement projects.

• Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and technical progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

• Support the evaluation and implementation of new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods.

• Coordinate technical activities with suppliers and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in composite structures design, development, analysis, and certification.

• Strong knowledge of composite structural engineering, including design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, and certification.

• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional projects.

• Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle, from requirements and structural sizing through validation and certification.

• Solid understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacturing principles.

• Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements and industry standards related to composite structures.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent English required; additionally B2 Level German is an advantage.
